Reformer Pilates

These classes make use of a piece of Pilates equipment called the reformer.

The reformer looks a bit like a low bed (or torture bed…which it is not), with a sliding platform which you will perform the exercises by lieing, sitting, kneeling or standing. You will be lead through a series of strengthening exercises using resistance from springs and pulleys, to create a lean and streamlined body. A series of different weighted springs can be adjusted to provide differing levels of resistance, depending on ability and the exercise being performed.

The class is performed on and around the Reformer bed, that strengthens core muscle groups, slims figures, burns fat and creates lean, toned muscles. The Reformer allows an almost unlimited range of exercises to be performed in a smallo area, allowing you to work every area. You’ll be amazed how quickly you start to look and feel different.
